I recommend you take some time and consider these 7 points and think about a list of hobbies or interests you have.  If you are happy that your idea meets these 7 points, then you know you are ready to carry on to the next step…

  1. Identify your Interests: Make a list of things that you enjoy doing in your free time or are passionate about. This could include hobbies, activities, or topics that you enjoy learning about.

  2. Evaluate your Skills: Consider your professional and personal experiences and identify the skills you have developed over time. These skills could include anything from writing and design to cooking and event planning.

  3. Conduct Market Research: Once you have a list of potential business ideas, conduct market research to identify potential customer needs and competitors. You can start by looking at online communities or forums, social media, or conducting surveys.

  4. Identify a Niche: Based on your interests, skills, and market research, identify a specific niche that you can target. This will help you differentiate yourself from competitors and build a loyal customer base.

  5. Create a Business Plan: Develop a detailed business plan that includes your target market, marketing strategies, pricing, and financial projections. This will help you stay organised and focused on your business goals.

Choosing something that you can remain passionate about even when building up a business is the key ingredient.  Too many people try and make money from something because someone else is making loads of money from it.  But if you have no interest in it, then you will fall at the first hurdle.

Most of us online started with a hobby or interest.  We wanted to make money from something we loved doing.  That way it didn’t feel like work.  It also means that when it takes longer than expected to earn money, we don’t give up before it does.

If you still stuck for ideas, I’ve included some examples below.    Hopefully one of them resonates with you and you can take that and turn it into your business.

I have the most experience with the last one.  But regardless of which one you choose, the path online is very similar.  It’s about starting with something you are passionate about and then working on establishing your brand and online presence.

You need to get your name out there.  Starting a blog would require you to get a blog and then establish yourself.  But if you wanted to offer your services in the freelancing world.  It would require you to build your online profile on a platform like Fiverr or Freelancer and do the same.

Creating your products.  Whether you decide to sell them on Etsy or have your website.  It’s the same.  

Without traffic to your profile or blog, you will not be making money.  So the remainder of our guide is about taking that idea that you decide to go with and getting yourself out there for people to find.

It is not easy for them to steal time from baby-keeping and I can imagine how carving out time. It is a great drain on energy and whatever little time they can steal goes in much needed rest.
