Quick Summary
Jeunesse is a well-established multi-level marketing (MLM) company founded in 2009, specializing in anti-aging and wellness products. The company has garnered attention for its high-quality, science-based skincare and supplement lines. While Jeunesse offers a legitimate business model and a wide range of products, the MLM structure presents significant challenges for those looking to earn a substantial income.
The compensation plan provides multiple ways to earn, including retail profits, customer acquisition bonuses, and team commissions. However, the success rate within the MLM industry is notoriously low, and Jeunesse is no exception. Despite the potential for earnings, the majority of participants struggle to make a profit, often facing high product costs and a saturated market.
Customer reviews of Jeunesse products are generally positive, highlighting their effectiveness and quality. Yet, the high price point of these products and the aggressive sales tactics required can be off-putting. While Jeunesse is not a scam or a pyramid scheme, it may not be the best opportunity for everyone, especially those without a strong passion for the products or a solid marketing strategy.

What is Jeunesse?
Jeunesse is a skincare and wellness multi-level marketing (MLM) company founded in 2009. The word “Jeunesse” is French for “the time when you are young,” which perfectly aligns with the company’s mission.

The main focus of Jeunesse is to offer skincare products and supplements that help people look and feel more youthful. They also provide a business opportunity for individuals to earn money from home, making it an attractive option for many.
For a quick overview, check out this 3-minute video clip that offers more details about Jeunesse:
Jeunesse aims to bring the latest scientific advancements in wellness, skincare, and anti-ageing to its customers. They refer to their community as the “Generation Young” and have created the “Y.E.S.” system, which stands for Youth Enhancement System.
This system is designed to help people achieve their best appearance and overall well-being. Jeunesse is proud of its commitment to high standards in direct marketing and multilevel advertising.

Is Jeunesse a Pyramid Scheme?
Some MLMs face accusations of being pyramid schemes due to their heavy focus on recruitment. Jeunesse follows a similar approach, but it is not classified as a pyramid scheme.
It is possible for distributors to earn money by solely selling the products without recruiting anyone into the business. However, generating significant income or meeting the monthly sales quota proves to be challenging through this method. Because of these reasons, Jeunesse is often compared to a pyramid scheme in disguise.
To understand the distinction better, let’s break it down.
What is a Pyramid Scheme?
A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members based on the promise of payments or services in exchange for enrolling new members, rather than actual investments or product sales (according to Wikipedia).
For more information, watch this short video:
The video above highlights the importance of continuously attracting new members in a pyramid system.
Why Do Some People Consider Jeunesse a Pyramid Scheme?
There are a few reasons for this perception. Firstly, as a Jeunesse representative, you can earn commissions by selling their products. Additionally, you can also make money by recruiting individuals into the multi-level marketing plan. These factors contribute to some individuals labelling it a disguised pyramid scheme.
Is Jeunesse a Pyramid Scheme in Disguise?
As I mentioned in my review, Jeunesse is not a pyramid scheme. They offer commissions based on your sales and the sales of those you register. However, there are no direct payments for recruiting others.
Let me reiterate, Jeunesse is not a pyramid scheme. Simply put, the company sells genuine products for people to use.

Jeunesse Pyramid Scheme Lawsuits
In 2015, Truth in Advertising, Inc. criticized Jeunesse for making deceptive income claims to persuade customers to become distributors. They outlined their findings in a warning letter to Jeunesse and filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and the Florida Chief Law Officer.
Jeunesse’s operations raised doubts due to over 100 instances of inappropriate health claims about their supplements, creams, and gels. These claims included treating cancer, lowering high blood pressure, and curing psoriasis, among other illnesses.
That being said, whether you consider Jeunesse a pyramid scheme depends on your viewpoint of these schemes. However, it is not technically classified as one.
Is Jeunesse a Scam or Legit MLM?
Jeunesse offers clear and high-quality products, along with a strong compensation plan. However, I believe this alone is inadequate. You can see more information about their business below in my Jeunesse MLM review.
Even if the company is legit, the network marketing industry is saturated. There are many things to learn and master to stand out against heavy competition. The price of the products and the reputation of network marketing make it harder to sell and recruit new members.
As I discussed in my review, Jeunesse doesn’t offer anything new to the market. It’s just one of many companies in this niche, like Mary Kay or Young Living.
The fact is that only expert salespeople tend to succeed with MLMs. The general public that gets involved often loses money and ends up funding those at the top.

What Products Does Jeunesse Sell?
Jeunesse offers a wide range of products focused on youthful vitality, health, wellness, and fitness. The company has been recognized by Inc., Direct Selling News, and Stevie for its remarkable growth. The success of Jeunesse is attributed to its competitive products that effectively address skin issues like under-eye bags, fine lines, wrinkles, and pores.
Jeunesse skincare products offer a variety of options, including masks, peels, overnight serums, and eye creams. These products are specially formulated to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The collection is organised into five distinctive categories:
- 66.12% (about 3,072 distributors) earned more than $245.
- 20.75% (about 964 distributors) earned more than $4,350.
- 3.74% (about 174 distributors) earned more than $82,000.
- The top 1% of all earners averaged 8 years to get there, taking between 1 and 11 years.
#2 Overpriced Products
MLMs are notorious for their expensive products, and unfortunately, Jeunesse is no exception. Their supplements and creams are priced outrageously high. While customers are generally satisfied with the product quality, there are consistent concerns about inflated prices.
#3 Saturated Niche Market
The market for supplements, anti-aging creams, and similar products is highly saturated. Brands like Avon, Young Living, and DoTerra already have a strong presence. Convincing individuals to switch from their favorite brands can be a significant challenge.
#4 Requires Pushy Sales Techniques
Joining multi-level marketing often leads to strained relationships due to aggressive marketing approaches. To start making sales, you might have to pester your friends and family unless you already have a proven sales system in place. This is one of the unfortunate realities of network marketing.
Jeunesse MLM Review – Conclusion
There have been numerous accusations against Jeunesse, claiming that the company operates as a pyramid scheme. However, it is important to note that Jeunesse is a legitimate multi-level marketing (MLM) business with reputable products. Participants can generate income by selling products without recruiting new members.
But, is it a good business opportunity?
Jeunesse offers anti-aging and wellness products through a multi-level marketing model. While the company is not a scam or a pyramid scheme, making a profit with Jeunesse can be exceedingly difficult. In fact, 99% of people who join MLMs end up losing money.
Therefore, I would advise against joining Jeunesse unless you have a genuine passion for the business and a well-thought-out marketing plan. If your primary goal is to make money, you might want to explore other options.
