Quick Summary

Le-Vel is a multi-level marketing company that has garnered attention for its Thrive product line, which includes nutritional supplements, weight management solutions, and skincare products. The company operates on a typical MLM structure, where independent distributors, known as Promoters, sell products directly to consumers and recruit new Promoters to build their sales teams. While Le-Vel offers a wide range of health and wellness products, its business model and compensation plan have sparked debate over its legitimacy and potential as a viable income opportunity.

The major advantage of Le-Vel is its established presence and positive company history, which suggests stability in the MLM market. Additionally, there are many favorable reviews from customers and Promoters alike, highlighting the benefits and effectiveness of the Thrive products. However, these reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, as many positive testimonials come from individuals who have a financial incentive to promote the company. On the downside, the products are often criticized for being overpriced, making them difficult to sell compared to similar items available at lower prices elsewhere. Furthermore, the heavy emphasis on recruitment raises concerns about the sustainability and ethics of the business model.

In conclusion, Le-Vel is not a scam or a pyramid scheme, but it operates within the often controversial MLM framework. While it offers a legitimate business opportunity for those interested in health and wellness, the likelihood of significant financial success is slim for the average participant. If you’re considering joining Le-Vel, it’s crucial to weigh the potential risks and rewards carefully. For those serious about making money online or building a sustainable business, exploring alternative options beyond MLMs might be a more prudent approach.

Is Le-Vel MLM a Scam?

When diving into the world of multi-level marketing (MLM), it’s natural to be cautious and wonder if a company is legitimate or just another scam. Le-Vel, with its Thrive products, has attracted attention and raised questions among potential distributors and customers alike. In this section, we will explore the signs that indicate whether Le-Vel is a scam or a legitimate business opportunity.

First, it’s important to understand the difference between an MLM and a pyramid scheme. A genuine MLM focuses on selling products or services with a compensation structure that rewards salespeople for both their sales and the sales made by their recruits. Conversely, a pyramid scheme typically prioritizes recruitment over product sales, often with little to no actual product value.

According to Wikipedia, “A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members by promising payments or services in exchange for enrolling new members into the scheme, rather than providing investments or product sales.” Pyramid schemes rely heavily on recruiting new members to generate income, rather than selling products.

Le-Vel promotes a range of health and wellness products under the Thrive brand, suggesting a product-focused approach. However, the key question is whether these products are genuinely valuable and whether the business model is sustainable and fair for distributors. While Le-Vel does offer commissions for recruiting new Promoters, the main source of income is still the sale of their products.

Le-Vel has received various licenses and recognition for its rapid growth and sales achievements, including hitting $1 billion in sales in less than five years. This recognition helps to validate its legitimacy as an MLM business rather than a pyramid scheme. Additionally, Le-Vel’s business model does not include direct payments solely for recruiting new members, which is a hallmark of pyramid schemes.

So, is Le-Vel a scam? The evidence suggests it is not. Le-Vel is a legitimate MLM that sells real, physical products. However, it’s important to note that while the company is legitimate, MLMs, in general, have a high failure rate among participants, with many people not making a profit. If you’re considering joining, weighing the potential risks and benefits is crucial.

Now, let’s dive deeper into the specifics of Le-Vel’s business model and product offerings.

Who Owns Le-Vel MLM?

Jason Camper and Paul Gravette are the founders and owners of Le-Vel Health and Wellness MLM.

le-vel-mlm-owners-image

Jason Camper, the business’s founder and co-CEO, was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, and attended Texas Tech University. He discovered his passion for marketing and nutrition during his undergraduate years and spent a decade in sales before transitioning to the company side of the industry. Camper’s early business experiences led him and his partner, Gravette, to develop the concept of a cloud-based dietary supplement service.

Paul Gravette is a skilled entrepreneur with expertise in technology and communications. The partnership between Camper and Gravette began online, driven by their shared desire for an innovative service model. In the early days of Le-Vel, Gravette used his sales experience to network and increase brand awareness, while Camper managed operations and logistics. Both founders were hands-on, engaging with brand promoters, providing customer support, and handling the daily tasks of running the business. Their hard work and dedication paid off, as Le-Vel quickly rose to prominence in the MLM industry.

Is Le-Vel MLM a Pyramid Scheme?

Put simply, Le-Vel is not a pyramid scheme. It’s a legitimate company that sells health and wellness products. However, there is a thin line between legitimate MLM practices and pyramid schemes. In both types of structures, participants are compensated for recruiting others into the business. This overlap often leads to confusion and suspicion.

What is a Pyramid Scheme?

To clarify, let’s define what a pyramid scheme is. According to Wikipedia, “A pyramid scheme is a business model that recruits members by promising payments or services in exchange for enrolling new members into the scheme, rather than providing investments or product sales.” You can check out a short video below to learn more about the mechanics of pyramid schemes.

So why do so many people assume that Le-Vel is a pyramid scheme? It’s mainly because you can earn commissions by recruiting a large number of individuals into the MLM plan. This recruitment-centric aspect is the primary reason some people label it a pyramid scheme in disguise.

Is Le-Vel MLM a Pyramid Scheme in Disguise?

As mentioned earlier, Le-Vel is not a pyramid scheme. The company promises commissions based on the sales made by you and the people you recruit, rather than direct payments for recruitment alone. There’s no shady activity involved as the focus remains on selling real products.

In pyramid schemes, you are forced to recruit others to generate income, whereas in a multi-level marketing firm, you can earn money by either recruiting or selling physical products to customers. This is why Le-Vel is not a pyramid scheme.

  1. Thrive capsules
  2. Thrive shakes
  3. Thrive patches

Do Le-Vel Thrive Products Work?

Le-Vel Thrive makes some bold claims about their products, such as aiding in weight management, boosting cognitive performance, and supporting digestive, immune, and joint health. But is there scientific evidence to back these claims?

According to Healthline, no research has been conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of Le-Vel patches for weight loss. Additionally, Abby Langer RD states, “None of this evidence has been studied in trials using a patch delivery system.”

Are Le-Vel Thrive Products Safe?

Le-Vel’s website does not list any known adverse effects of their products, and there is a lack of sufficient research to determine their safety comprehensively. However, some individuals have reported issues such as rashes, digestive problems, and headaches.

Moreover, TINA.org filed a complaint with the Direct Selling Self-Regulatory Council (DSSRC) on March 11, 2020, urging it to take action against Le-Vel for misleading advertising claims. As a result, DSSRC issued a statement on August 31, 2020, indicating that Le-Vel and its distributors had been found to make misleading claims in their promotions.

Le-Vel MLM Compensation Plan

If you’re considering joining Le-Vel as a Brand Promoter, you’ll want to understand their compensation plan. Like many MLMs, Le-Vel’s compensation plan is complex and can be confusing.

le-vel-mlm-compensation-plan

Here are the 11 ways you can earn money as a Le-Vel Brand Promoter:

  1. Retail Sales: Earn 20% on the BV of your customers’ orders. Active and qualified Brand Promoters can also earn commissions from the orders placed by their sponsored Promoters.
  2. Vanishing Auto-Ship: When you have two or more customers on the auto-ship program, you are eligible for free products.
  3. Infinity Fast Start: A bonus system that rewards Brand Promoters who sign up new Promoters. Bonuses range from $5-$140.
  4. Infinity Fast Start Match: Earn a 10% match of the Infinity Fast Start bonus your directly sponsored Promoters receive.
  5. Infinity Fast Start Match Accelerator: Similar to the Infinity Fast Start Match but requires a minimum of 8 directly sponsored Promoters and a rank of 4K VIP or above.
  6. Go VIP Bonus: Earn between $400-$800 plus Thrive credits by meeting specific funding and sales goals in the first two weeks.
  7. iPad Mini Bonus: A bonus to purchase an iPad mini after meeting certain requirements within the first 30 days, including 4,000 QV, 4 personally sponsored Promoters, and 4 customers on auto-ship.
  8. Uni-Level Team Payments: Earn commissions on the sales of your directly sponsored Promoters, up to 8 levels deep.
  9. VIP Auto Bonus: A monthly car bonus of either $800 or $1,600 based on meeting certain criteria.
  10. Lifestyle Getaways: Paid trips to destinations such as Las Vegas, Napa Valley, Italy, and Alaska.

Sound complicated? I think that’s the general idea with MLM compensation plans… It all looks snazzy, but the reality is it is there to make it all look possible for everyone and that is rarely the case.

If you want to understand it a little more, watch this YouTube video:

Can You Make Money With Le-Vel?

Yes, you can make money with Le-Vel MLM. Personal sales earn you 20%, the first level of your downline earns you 12%, and levels 2 and 3 earn you 4% each. You can also earn a free product each month by enrolling at least two personal customers in auto-ship. Additionally, the Uni-Level Team Compensation and Matching Bonus can help you earn more as part of a team.

To start earning commissions, you need to achieve Qualified and Active statuses by purchasing or selling products worth 100 PV ($100). Maintaining 100 PV in monthly sales or purchases keeps you active.

However, it is important to note that Le-Vel does not publicly provide an income disclosure statement on their website. This lack of transparency makes it difficult to determine how much the average Promoter earns and what the actual success rate is among its distributors. Without an income disclosure, potential recruits are unable to get a clear picture of their earnings potential, which is a crucial factor in deciding whether to join an MLM (Truth in Advertising) (My Room is My Office).

In summary, while it is possible to make money with Le-Vel, the lack of detailed income disclosures and the complex compensation plan can make it challenging to assess the true earning potential. Prospective Promoters should carefully consider these factors and conduct thorough research before committing to the program.

Le-Vel MLM Review: What I Liked

When evaluating whether to join Le-Vel, it’s essential to consider both the advantages and disadvantages. Here are some of the key pros that might make Le-Vel an attractive MLM opportunity:

#1 Proven Company History

Every other day a brand-new MLM business is launched, but do you know the majority of them do not last for 2 or 3 years? Data reveal that 1 out of 3 online marketing companies makes it to 10 years. Le-Vel seems to be going nowhere. So, it is safe to say that Le-Vel is a legit MLM company to join.

#2 Positive Le-Vel Reviews

There are many favourable testimonials of Le-Vel MLM and some negative ones too. However, those that are positive are encouraging and show that this company has value to offer. Keep in mind that most positive reviews could be from Distributors, so these testimonials are never impartial as they are likely to be generating income by giving these evaluations.

The best way to know more about Le-Vel is to buy their products and experience them for yourself.

Le-Vel MLM Review: What I Didn't Like

While there are notable benefits to joining Le-Vel, there are also several drawbacks that potential distributors should be aware of. Here are some of the key cons associated with Le-Vel:

#1 Overpriced Products

This is the primary reason why the majority of its suppliers find it difficult to offer Le-Vel products—they are too pricey and not suitable for the market. Why would people buy from you when they can easily purchase the same product for 300% less on Amazon?

For instance, their vitamin price for one month is $62, equating to nearly $3 a day. In contrast, you can buy a similar item from Amazon for $1 a day.

#2 Le-Vel MLM is a Pyramid Scheme?

As discussed earlier, Le-Vel’s compensation strategies show that 10 out of 11 ways to generate income involve recruiting others into the firm. That’s why people claim that Le-Vel is a pyramid scheme in disguise. Unfortunately, recruiting is often the only way to make significant money with MLMs.

You can try to sell just their products and might earn some pocket cash, but to make real money, you will need to start recruiting.

#3 Seems to Be Free, But It’s Not

It can be frustrating when network marketing companies are not transparent about their costs. Le-Vel is one of those companies. On their website, they state that you can become a distributor for free. However, that’s just the first phase of the funnel. You’ll eventually end up paying a few hundred dollars to become a representative. This is not a sign that Le-Vel is a scam, but they should be more open about their costs.

#4 Lots of Negative Reviews

There are many negative reviews about Le-Vel on various platforms. Many individuals report negative experiences on websites like Sitejabber. Below is one of the most viewed Le-Vel reviews on YouTube, where they highlight some of the company’s issues:

#5 Lack of Transparency

One significant downside of Le-Vel is the lack of transparency regarding their income disclosures. Unlike many other MLM companies that provide detailed income disclosure statements to give potential recruits a clear understanding of the earning potential, Le-Vel does not publicly share this information on their website. This absence of transparency makes it challenging for prospective Promoters to assess the likelihood of achieving financial success with the company.

Without access to income data, it’s difficult to determine how much the average Promoter earns and what the success rate is among distributors. This lack of information can be a red flag, as it may indicate that the majority of Promoters are not making significant income. Transparency is crucial in building trust and ensuring that potential recruits can make informed decisions about joining the MLM. Therefore, the absence of an income disclosure statement is a considerable drawback for those considering Le-Vel as a business opportunity.

Le-Vel MLM Review: Conclusion

At the end of the day, Le-Vel is not a scam or a pyramid scheme. It’s just another MLM that offers good compensation in exchange for bringing more people into their business. Most people who sign up with Le-Vel are, regrettably, really unlikely to ever make any money. Statistics tell us that close to 99% of MLM participants make less than $200 a month.

In my point of view, I don’t think anybody serious about making money online or building a business should consider investing their hard-earned cash into an MLM firm. After evaluating a whole bunch of these companies, I have concluded that it is the worst business to get into. But at the end of the day, Le-Vel is a legit MLM, so if you fancy it, go for it.

I don’t recommend it because there are much better ways to make money from home (see the next section).
